Shinji Kanda

Background and a closer look at the illustrations

Shinji Kanda made his Pokémon TCG debut in Sword & Shield - Brilliant Stars in 2022. His alternate-art Giratina V from Lost Origin, reference 186/196, provides a striking introduction to his work: a composition set in the Distortion World and highlighted by the official Pokémon website.

When looking at these illustrations, start with the Pokémon's silhouette, then explore the surrounding shapes and details. Our selection also lets you find his signature on less conspicuous cards, such as Sabelette and Flagadoss.
