Returns and refunds at Mint2Play

At Mint2Play, we make every effort to ensure that return conditions are clear, easy to read and consistent with the nature of the products sold.

A single card, a sealed booster, a display or a deck are not handled in the same way and do not retain the same value once opened or altered. This page simply explains how returns, refunds and any potential deductions work.

1. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer customer, you have a period of 14 days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal.

To exercise this right, simply send us a clear message at the following address: contact@mint2play.fr, stating your order number and your intention to withdraw.

2. How to return a product

After informing us of your decision to withdraw, you have 14 days to return the relevant product or products to us.

Return shipping costs remain at your expense.

To secure the return, we strongly recommend shipment with proof of posting and a tracking number.

3. Expected condition of returned products

Products must be returned:

  • in a condition consistent with simple inspection before purchase
  • properly protected for return transport
  • complete where applicable
  • with their accessories and original elements where relevant

4. Sealed products: boosters, displays, decks

Sealed products have an important specific feature: their value depends largely on the fact that they are new and unopened.

Opening the seal, film, lid seal, warranty strip or any other equivalent device generally results in a significant loss of commercial value. An opened product can no longer be resold as a sealed product and may, in some cases, become very difficult to resell to a collector.

Consequently, if a sealed product is returned after the seal has been opened or altered, a deduction may be applied to the refund. This deduction corresponds to the actual loss in value observed.

Depending on the product and its condition upon return, this deduction may be minor, significant, very significant or reach up to 100% where the product has become economically unsellable in its original condition.

5. 'No shrink' products

Some products may be sold new without their original plastic wrap, with this being explicitly stated on the product page.

In such cases, the absence of plastic wrap does not constitute a defect. The product remains subject to these return conditions according to its actual condition at the time it is returned.

6. Single cards

Single cards sold individually at Mint2Play are offered as second-hand products.

The right of withdrawal remains applicable to these goods.

However, the cards must be returned in their original condition.

Any alteration observed between shipment and return may result in a deduction, for example in the event of:

  • crease
  • scratch
  • dent
  • whitening that appeared or worsened
  • moisture damage
  • handling mark
  • insufficient protection for the return

7. Claim regarding the condition of a received card

If you believe that a received card is in a condition materially different from the one stated, we invite you to contact us within 48 hours of receipt at contact@mint2play.fr, attaching clear and usable photographs.

This reporting period is requested to facilitate review of the case. It does not reduce your legal rights.

8. Commercial buyback option after opening

In certain cases, particularly where a sealed product has been opened, Mint2Play may offer, on a purely commercial basis and without obligation, a buyback offer for the returned cards.

Where this option is offered, it may be calculated on the basis of 50% of the Cardmarket 'price trend', subject in particular to:

  • the authenticity of the cards
  • their actual condition upon receipt
  • their language and edition
  • their consistency with what has been returned
  • their resale potential

This option is an optional commercial solution. It does not replace the applicable legal framework.

9. Refund

Where the return falls within the legal framework of withdrawal, Mint2Play refunds the sums due, including delivery costs corresponding to the standard delivery method offered.

Mint2Play may defer the refund until the goods have been recovered or until proof of shipment has been received.

The refund is made using the same payment method as the one used for the order, unless you expressly agree to another refund method and provided that this does not entail any cost to you.

Accordingly, a store credit, voucher or Mint2Play France purchase code may be offered, but will never be imposed in the context of a legal refund.

Where a deduction applies due to depreciation of the goods, the refund is adjusted accordingly.

10. Non-compliant products or preparation error

If you receive a product that is clearly incorrect, incomplete, damaged upon receipt or not compliant with the order, contact us promptly at contact@mint2play.fr with your order number and photographs.

In this type of situation, your request is handled as an after-sales service or non-compliance case, and not as a simple withdrawal.

11. Legal guarantee of conformity

Goods sold by Mint2Play, including second-hand goods, remain covered by the legal guarantee of conformity.

This guarantee is distinct from the right of withdrawal.
